Youth Group / Student Ministry
Youth Group is on break this week
Outside Organizations previously scheduled to use the space this week and next:
- Al-Anon - Moved to St. Bartholomews (204 W Salisbury St, Pittsboro, NC 27312)
- Music with Mar - Moved to Chatham County Library
Water infiltration has mostly stopped. Front gutters have been cleared of debris. Windows have been taped. Baseboards have been removed. Plumbing has been restored. Retaining wall brick has been removed by hand. Insurance adjusters have been to see the space.
An engineer has assessed the hill and has determined that it presents no current threat to the building. He will draw up plans for a new retaining wall next week. Engineer does not anticipate any threat to our CO while retaining wall is being rebuilt.
Jamie Munn and Jay Anderson have been hard at work sanitizing the floors that don't need to be replaced. The bathrooms, office-side storage rooms, worship-side storage room and foyer are cleaned.
All flooring except the tile has been removed. VCT tile has been ordered for the office-side of the building and replacement carpet has been ordered for the worship side. Tile install is scheduled to begin Wednesday next week. Delivery time on the carpet for the worship space is 7-10 business days.
Fans, air filters, and dehumidifiers are running at full tilt around the clock.
Before we can re-occupy the space:
- Floors and wall cleared of moisture and certified mold-free
- Carpets removed and replaced
- Damaged drywall removed and replaced
- Gutters cleared and hill braced
Before space is fully restored all of the above must be done, plus:
- replace damaged windows
- replace damaged furnitire and supplies
- replace baseboards
- retaining wall rebuilt
Current estimate before we can re-occupy
