Goodness and Love

1

Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
- Psalm 23:6

Take some time today to let this verse wash over you.

Read it 4 or 5 times. Commit it to memory. Repeat it out loud. Make up a song for it. Draw a picture of it. Write it out using your best handwriting. Write it a dozen times as fast as you can. Pray it.

Surely your goodness and love will follow me. You're with me. And if you're with me, your goodness and love will be with me too. And they will even follow me. You won't abandon me. You don't run on ahead of me leaving me to catch up. You're with me and your goodness and love will follow me. Surely.

And your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life. Every day will be filled with goodness and love. Even the hard ones. I won't spend all of my principle. My account is full and overflowing thanks to your good, loving presence.

And I will dwell - not just visit, not just glimpse, not just hear about - dwell in the house of the Lord forever. I don't know exactly what your house will be like. But I know you'll be there. And that I'll be with you forever. Safe. Secure. Forever.

Amen.

One thing I have desired of the Lord,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life.
To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple.
For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.
Psalm 27:4-5
