The Love Triangle: Philippians 1:2

5

"Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ."

- Philippians 1:2

Look at the triangle that develops. The letter Paul writes to his friends in Philippi isn't something that's just between them. The Lord is also involved.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer once wrote: "Christ stands between us, and we can only get into touch with our neighbors through him." Jesus is present in every relationship, every encounter, every interaction ... whether we're aware of him or not.

Think back over yesterday. What would be different if you were more aware of the Lord's presence?

Think about your day today. Where do you especially feel you need the Lord to be present?

More of Him and less of me, my heart's desire and my struggle.

Yesterday I went over to the lake and pondered nature...the sky, the clouds, the beauty of nature and that I believe in the Creator. Having a relationship with the creator of the universe is mind*boggling but this is what I desire most. Like Lana said, to be aware of His presence is what I desire most today and every day. I too have scripture as passwords!

Great idea with the passwords, Lana!

My greatest longing is to live aware of the Lord's presence all the time! We're working on it. He's very patient. And He keeps sending me reminders--like today's Connect. So thank you.
Btw, it recently occurred to me that, since they are now encouraging us to make long involved passwords, I could use scripture or some encouraging word from God as my password. It slows me down cause I have to think when I type it and it refocuses me on God--a double strategy for experiencing God's presence. :)

Amen....let us today choose to make our lives all about the Lord; to enjoy an unobstructed view of Him.
