Systematic Theology 101
Every Sunday until June 7, 2015
5:30pm – 7:00pm
Systematic theology focuses us on God and who we are in relation to him. This class will cover the following topics: how to “do theology,” the Trinity, how we get to know God, and “What is creation for, anyway?”

Reading Notebook (40%)
As you read, create a 2-column notebook on paper or a word processor. In the left column, include quotes or words or ideas that you think are important. In the right column, keep a running dialogue with your thoughts and insights and questions. Notebook will be collected and graded.
Autobiographical 1-page (5%)
Write a no-more-than-one-page essay about your church background, experience with theology, interests in theology and current theological questions that you’re struggling with. Due at start of first class.
Final Exam (20%)
You will have the option of writing a 1000 word essay integrating themes from the course or taking an oral exam on themes from the course.
Class Participation (35%)
Course Outline
Classes will be held from 5:30-7pm on Sunday nights. The first week will be held at our Chatham Mills offices and subsequent weeks will be held at Horton Middle School.
